Blackjack strategy chart without double after split (no DAS)

Some tables do not let you double down after splitting a pair. Small pairs are then worth splitting less often, and the house edge rises from 0.57% to 0.69% with perfect play. Seven pair decisions change.

What changes

• 2,2 against 2: Hit instead of split
• 2,2 against 3: Hit instead of split
• 3,3 against 2: Hit instead of split
• 3,3 against 3: Hit instead of split
• 4,4 against 5: Hit instead of split
• 4,4 against 6: Hit instead of split
• 6,6 against 2: Hit instead of split

All the changes are small pairs against a weak dealer card. Splitting them pays mainly because a small card often draws to a total of 10 or 11, which is worth doubling against a weak dealer; without that option the split loses most of its value.
